Domestic value added in exports, country to country (FIGARO)
How much of what a country exports to another is actually its own value added, rather than inputs it imported and passed on. The same bilateral pairs as the gross table, measured the other way.
FIGARO.DVA_EXP
Definitions and method
All industries (nace_r2 TOTAL), thousands of euro. NOTE THE UNIT - the gross table is in millions and this one in thousands, as published; comparing the two without converting is wrong by a factor of a thousand. Domestic value added is derived by Eurostat from the FIGARO inter-country input-output tables, tracing which country's labour and capital earned the income embodied in a shipment. It removes the double counting that gross trade contains, and the gap between the two is the foreign content of exports.
